The Worms beat Danbury 7-2 behind Jacob Cook (6 1/3, 3H, 6K, 1ER). Aaron Garza was 3 for 4 with a double and two RBI.

Manchester pounded Danbury 13-2 at Rogers Park. John Fitzpatrick led the 17-hit attack with four hits, including a pair of homeruns and seven RBI.
Gil Zayas and Frank Cipolla both had three hits while Matt Cooney, Ryan Davis and Andy Parrino had two each.
Chris Lagiardre (5ip 2R 3K, 0BB) earned his first Silkworm win.

Torrington scored six times in the fourth inning, breaking a scoreless tie and went on to an 8-3 victory at Northwest Park.
Mitch Heckert, Graham Godfrey and Mike Mooney combined for 4 2/3 innings of two-hit, shutout ball with seven strikeouts.

Troy Martin pitched four innings of four-hit shut-out relief.

Ben Copeland each had rbi’s for the Silkies. Steve Malinowski was 2 for 4 and Jay Maule was twice hit by pitches. He would be he hit by eight other pitches, to lead the team.

Manchester lost to Torrington 7-4 at Northwest Park before a Thursday night crowd of 994.
The Twisters scored three times in the first and twice in the second off starter Eric Cunningham. The Worms bounced back with a run in second and closed the gap to 5-4 with a three-spot in the fourth. But Torrington twisted up a pair of runs in the fifth and coasted to the win.

Starter Ashton Stone took the loss, dropping to 0-3. Greg Landis had two of the four Silkworm hits – Eric Sutton and Nick Buonocore had the others. Brian Nemet worked 1 2/3 shutout innings with three strikeouts.
