 June 24, 2000

     Manchester wasted a quality start from Eric Sutton and lost to Eastern 6-4 in 10 innings.

     Sutton allowed three earned runs in six innings, but the Tides scored twice off Dan Weinkauf (0-2)in the top of the 10th.

  Chris Denorfia, Mike Cole and Sean Roach each had a pair of hits and  Nick Buonocore drove in two runs for the Worms, who lost their fourth straight and dropped to 3-12.

June 24, 2001

      Riverpoint broke a 2-all tie in the bottom of the eighth inning and Manchester went down 1-2-3 in the ninth as the Royals beat the Silkworms 4-2.

     Starter Scott Myers allowed two runs in five innings and Mark Norton pitched two perfect innings in relief, with three K’s. But Glen Morris allowed three hits and two runs (one earned) while dropping to 1-1.

    Jesse Nelson hit his third homer of the year for the Silkies, who dropped  to 5-8.

June 24, 2003

      Manchester improved to 8-5 with a 7-2 win over Danbury at Northwest Park.

        Chris Cody (2-0) pitched eight shutout innings with six strikeouts and three walks.

         Steve Malinowski and Bryan Spamer both went 2 for 4 with a run scored and a pair of RBI. Jay Maule scored three runs.

June 24, 2004

        Aaron Garza, in his first tour of duty in Manchester, hit a  two-out, infield single in the bottom of the ninth inning that scored Steve Malinowski with the winning run as Manchester beat Holyoke 3-2.

       The win gave the 6-6 Silkworms a share of first place in the Southern  Divison.

       Garza drove Greg Smith with the Worms second run in the sixth. Mike Mooney (1 1/3, 2 hits) picked up the first of his five NECBL victories.

June 24 2005

           John Fitzpatrick crushed a two-out, two-run homer to break a 2-2 in the seventh inning as the Silkworms beat the Gulls 4-3 in front of 2,592 fans at Cardines Field.
        Billy Harris (1-3), earned his first NECBL victory. Chris Legiadre worked the final 2 1/3 innings, striking out five, for his second save of the year.
